Phil...The point of this series was not to argue whether or not a browser nagivation model is appropriate for all forms of applications. My point was that if Silverlight 3 is going to leverage the browser nav model while running in the browser, then there needs to be a way to provide a consistent user experience when running outside of the browser. For instance, if a user has a particular page within an SL app they've bookmarked in their browser and that bookmark is how they always access the application, what happens when they take the app offline? They'll always have to go the app's default page and then navigate their way to their "home" page. If you ask me, this is pretty poor UX...Adam

I applaud the idea of reducing the dependence on browser hosting. However, the reason I throught browsers were bad for applications is that they were designed for presenting websites, not applications.

You seem determined to ensure that the (inappropriate for applications) browser navigation model will live on forever, outside the browser.

Nevertheless, once developers start using Silverlight 3 en masse, many will follow in your footsteps.

I hope to make it to the next one. I like the Davanni's idea. Here are a few other options too:

- Minneapolis Town Hall brewbup
- Great Waters brewpub in St. Paul
- Stub & Herb's
- Punch Pizza

Wednesdays work a lot better for me during the summer than Thursdays so good choice on that. I'm open to anywhere, the closer to downtown the better (since I'm in NE metro) and I think that's central enough for most people.
